George Michael - Jesus To A Child

George Michael (25 de Junio de 1963 - 25 de Diciembre de 2016) fue uno de los músicos pop más famosos de los 80 y los 90. Sin duda, supo llevar canciones a las masas y fue recibido de muy buena forma. Además, se las arreglaba para llamar la atención por sus correrías e historias sabrosas para la farándula o prensa amarillista.

Jesus To A Child fue un tema que lanzó como single para el disco Older (1996), y en aquella época se decía que era en honor a una persona muy querida que había fallecido. Finalmente, se reveló que era un tema dedicado para un amante/pareja brasileño (de ahí lo del sonido onda bossanova)  que murió producto del sida. 

Acerca del tema, nada que decir, está lleno de emoción y se nota la sensibilidad del cantante en su interpretación, que recuerda a esta otra persona como si fuera Jesús y él mismo como si fuera un niño. Esto, porque Jesús bendecía y entregaba toda su bondad, carisma y protección a los pequeños, quienes les entregaban de vuelta toda su inocencia, alegría y admiración.

Creo que a estas alturas un título como este le podría dar lo mismo a la mayoría de las personas. Ya que la práctica del sexo como diversión o relajo, sin la necesidad de incluir el amor o el compromiso de por medio, está más que aceptado por hombres y mujeres. Asi que sólo nos queda enfocarnos en las medidas de protección contra enfermedades y embarazos no deseados, que son algunas de las consecuencias de esta postura tan moderna y abierta acerca de la sexualidad.

El tema Fastlove de George Michael (n. 25 de Junio de 1963) efectivamente habla acerca de las relaciones casuales. Quizás tanto llorar a mares con Careless Whisper le cambió un poco el enfoque, aunque en honor a la verdad, todos sabemos que Michael ya venía desenfocado de antes. Pero bueno, este cantante tiene la gracia de narrar esta canción de una manera bastante sutil, sin la necesidad de provocar o alterar a los puritanos de siempre.

Y la letra: Habla acerca de tener un encuentro casual con alguien que le parece sexualmente atractivo al autor. Asimismo, él se plantea que la idea de estar comprometido no es algo que lo atraiga demasiado, y cree que pasar un buen momento con alguien no necesariamente implica involucrarse con esa persona. Entonces le insinua a quien está junto a él que si desea o quiere algo rápido y entretenido sólo tiene que decir que sí. Y tanta insistencia es porque está seguro que aquella persona piensa lo mismo que él.

Wham - Careless Whisper

Careless Whisper, el tema de Wham y sinónimo de George Michael, no merece ninguna presentación. Es una canción muy conocida y que es escuchada en todas partes, sobretodo en románticas veladas o sensuales situaciones. Y es que no es difícil dejarse atrapar por el saxo del comienzo y la sugestiva melodía de esta canción que habla acerca de la tristeza que se siente al defraudar a quien uno ama y más encima no poder hacer nada para reparar el daño que cambiará la vida de los dos para siempre.

También me trae recuerdos del Rumpy y su programa radial El Chacotero Sentimental, pero aquel de mediados de los 90, donde estaba prohibido decir garabatos y sonaba todo tipo de estilos musicales dedicados al oyente que llamaba para pedir ayuda o sólo ser escuchado. En una oportunidad llamó una lolita de 15 años que necesitaba consejos porque quería perder la virginidad con su pololo. El animador le explicaba que sólo tenía que cuidarse y pasarlo bien. Sin embargo, el tema principal fue olvidado cuando ella también contó que su mayor fantasía para ese momento sería escuchar repetidamente y sin pausas la canción Indeguisper.

El Rumpy le dijo que no conocía esa canción, y ni siquiera el Dj que estaba ese momento la podía encontrar, asi que la instó a taratearla, resultando ser la canción de Wham. Todo dió pie para que el animador subiera al columpio a la niñita haciéndola tararear y repetir Indeguisper a cada instante. Al final, después de muchas risas, le dedicaron con mucho cariño su canción favorita.
