Firefall - Strange Way

El grupo norteamericano Firefall fue fundado en 1975 y se convirtieron en una buenísima banda de rock con influencias country. Temas como You Are the Woman, Just Remember I Love You y Strange Way dejaron en claro las bonitas armonías que lograban crear y todo ese ambiente cálido con muchos detalles instrumentales que hacían de su música una experiencia muy agradable de disfrutar.

Una de mis canciones favoritas es Strange Way, que apareciera en el disco Elan (1978), tercera entrega musical de la banda y que luego se convertiría en disco de platino. Este tema también se ha vuelto un favorito de muchos por aquellas razones antes mencionadas.

Y la letra: Pues habla de esa molesta sensación de querer a una persona que sólo nos busca cuando necesita a alguien con quien llorar y desahogarse. O sea, un ser que sólo ve nuestro cariño como un perfecto paño de lágrimas y nada más. Entonces el protagonista, aburrido de vivir ese tipo de relación le deja en claro que si quiere quejarse y sacar todas sus aflicciones, pues que se busque a otro con más disposición de aceptar esa forma tan extraña que tiene para demostrar su amor y preocupación.
