Hall & Oates - Family Man

Family Man del dúo Hall & Oates es una canción que me encanta, aunque tengo un amigo que realmente la odia por el comienzo que posee. Según él, el inicio le recuerda la danza de la lluvia de quizás qe indígenas. Pero creo que este tema tiene lo suyo aunque no llegue al nivel de popularidad de Maneater, Out of Touch o I Can't Go for That (No Can Do).

Esta canción, que es en realidad un cover del cantante Mike Oldfield (n. 15 de Mayo de 1953), habla acerca de una situación que le ocurre a un tipo en medio de la calle. En esa oportunidad se le acerca una atractiva y sensual prostituta ofreciéndole sus servicios sexuales. Sin embargo, este sujeto apelando a su condición de hombre casado y correcto se niega a aceptar su proposición aunque diciéndole que perro que ladra no muerde.

Es por eso que ella no da su brazo a torcer y en vez de marcharse, comienza a presionarlo presintiendo que este hombre caería tarde o temprano. Sin embargo, por haberse tardado tanto en decidir, ella se marcha dejándolo solo. Finalmente, cual Chavo del Ocho y como no queriendo perder su orgullo, este sujeto queda como diciéndo: al cabo que ni queria y soy un hombre casado de todos modos.
