Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There

Spice Girls (1994 - 2001) es un grupo de chicas que se robaron todos los rankings, portadas y miradas del mundo entero cuando lanzaron su espectacular disco Spice (1996), léase espectacular en términos de popularidad. Incluso se dieron el lujo de lanzar una película con sus aventuras y fueron un suceso hasta que no se le pudo sacar más partido a su explosión mediática.

Al igual que grupos masculinos como Backstreet Boys o NKOTB, ellas tenían características que las diferenciaban y las hacían únicas. También pensado de tal manera que las hiciera identificable con cualquier fanática. Geri Halliwell era Sexy Spice, Melanie C era Sporty Spice, Emma Bunton era Baby Spice, Melanie Brown era Scary Spice y Victoria Adams (Ahora Beckham) era Posh Spice. En lo personal, por voz e imagen me quedo con la Baby Spice.

Uno de sus grandes singles es Say You'll Be There, el cual habla acerca de mantener las promesas de amor. Este atractivo tema se destacó por su video clip basado en películas como Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (Gran inspiración de Rob Zombie) y Pulp Fiction. Y como dato anecdótico, la harmónica que aparece en este tema fue tocada por Judd Lander, la misma persona del Karma Chamaleon de Culture Club.
