Megadeth - Trust

No recuerdo exactamente en que entrevista fue, pero Dave Mustaine hablaba muy contento acerca de Trust y como este tema llegaba a fanáticos que no sólo se sentían identificados con el rencor o las guerras nucleares, sino que ahora también con su visión acerca del amor y las relaciones de parejas que a veces llegan a ser muy difíciles de llevar.

Trust es el primer single del disco Cryptic Writings (1997) y me trae a la memoria el hecho que Canal 9, canal regional la pusiera de forma frecuente (algo muy extraño si se habla de Heavy Metal) por las noches y que mi hermana expresara que a pesar de la ruidosa melodía, encontrara muy buenmozo al cantante en el video clip. Diablos! una groupie en la familia.

Trust es una canción que habla de la desconfianza en la pareja y como las mentiras se hacen necesarias para rearmar una relación que se quiebra una y otra vez también producto de las mentiras. Un círculo vicioso entre dos personas que en realidad no se aman, sino que tienen una atracción enfermiza sumada al miedo a la soledad y quizás que otro problema mental.
