Metallica - Wherever I May Roam

Decir que Metallica son unos vendidos es algo muy subjetivo y servirá para discutirlo una y otra vez sin llegar a acuerdo. Pero  nadie puede negar que ellos son los que más han vendido en la historia de Thrash y el Heavy Metal. Los más grandes del mundo en materia de ventas y por sus composiciones tan transversales.

Mucho de su éxito mundial nació con el Álbum Negro y la incontable cantidad de ciudades alrededor del mundo que visitaron promocionándolo y que sólo en Estados Unidos lleva hasta el momento la no despreciable suma de 16 millones de copias vendidas. Es como si en nuestro país cada uno de nosotros tuvieramos un ejemplar en nuestras manos.

Wherever I May Roam no fue un single muy exitoso comparado con los conocidos de siempre. Incluso, pareciera que estuvo en los rankings como si fuera parte del contrato con la disquera. Pero es un favorito mio desde siempre. Y de que habla: De un sujeto que vive aqui y en todas partes, un nómade. También podría ser tomado como la vida en la carretera y lejos de casa gracias a los tours y festivales.
