Queensryche - Silent Lucidity

El grupo de rock progresivo Queensryche realizó en 1989 un álbum llamado Empire del cual se extrajo como single una preciosa canción llena de matices y contrastes llamada Silent Lucidity. Tema que tuvo la suerte de ser frecuentemente puesta al aire en MTV. También fue muy comparada con Comfortably Numb de Pink Floyd, aunque todavía no le encuentro ese gran parecido al que aluden algunos.

Esta canción habla acerca de los sueños lúcidos, ese estado en donde podemos llegar a conectarnos con nosotros mismos y tener control de lo que estamos viviendo y también de lo que deseamos vivir. El autor expresa que se puede recurrir a este método como una forma para dejar atrás los miedos y frustraciones que acarreamos durante todo el día. Si sueñas lo que quieres soñar entonces tendrás la posibilidad de ser al menos por un par de horas la persona más dichosa y completa de este mundo.

Para mi los sueños son el reflejo de lo que vivimos, los miedos ocultos y los más fervientes deseos que tenemos. Para otros una forma de adelantarse al futuro o darnos cuenta de quienes somos en realidad. Y para el autor de esta canción es el descubrir y crear por nuestra cuenta un mundo único y sanador.
