Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger

Pelea, confrontación, boxeo, Stallone y Rocky son las primeras palabras que se me vienen a la cabeza apenas escucho Eye Of The Tiger de Survivor. Y para los que no tienen idea de quien es Stallone o Rocky, de seguro pensarán en un combate cada vez que escuchen este track, que es y será siempre utilizado como música de fondo en eventos deportivos o cualquier programa de televisión donde dos o más participantes tengan distintas y encontradas opiniones.

Aunque la conocí gracias al Soundtrack de Rocky IV, en realidad fue compuesta en 1982 (a petición de Sylvester Stallone) para Rocky III, donde ocupó el puesto de Another One Bites The Dust de Queen, originalmente previsto para el film. Y fue todo un acierto, ya que este tema se convirtió en uno de los más famosos del planeta en muy poco tiempo. Estuvo 6 semanas al tope del Billboard Hot 100, ganó un Grammy Award, fue nominado a un Academy Award y fue la mejor canción nueva del People's Choice Awards.

Y las letras: Estas fueron escritas basadas en un parlamento de la película y hablan de no rendirse jamás. Si te botan, pues levántate y sigue peleando. Y si parece imposible, no te rindas, pon tu mente en eso (ojo del tigre), que lo lograrás si no bajas los brazos. Todo un mensaje inspirador que sumado a la marchosa música hace que cualquiera se sienta invencible.
