Dido - White Flag

Dido (n. 25 de Diciembre de 1971) cuya voz es frecuentemente confundida con la de Sarah Mclachlan, es una cantante Inglesa que se hizo ampliamente conocida por su participación con el músico Eminem (Stand) y por la creación de bonitas canciones tales como: Thank You, Here With Me y White Flag, mi favorita.

Este triste tema habla de una chica que ha roto con su pareja y que luego de mucho tiempo se ha dado cuenta que aún lo ama demasiado. Ella reconoce todo el dolor y sufrimiento que le causó a esta otra persona y con amargura asume que él ya no regresará. Sin embargo, como ella dice, se hundirá con su barco, no levantará las manos ni se rendirá, porque está enamorada y siempre será asi.

Y como sabe que no hay vuelta atrás, ocultará su amor todo el tiempo, e incluso será capaz de disimularlo cuando tarde o temprano se encuentren de nuevo. Mordiéndose la lengua le hará creer a su gran amor que ya está todo superado y que la vida le sonríe tanto como le podría sonreir a él, ahora que ya no está con ella.
